These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website operated by Philippians Academic Advising (a trade name of Philippians Consulting LLC, “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) and the academic advising and consulting services we offer. By accessing our website or purchasing our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use our website or purchase our services. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must agree to these Terms on your behalf and assumes full responsibility for your use of our services. By using our website, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.

2. Description of Services

Philippians Academic Advising provides academic advising and consulting services to medical school applicants and pre-medical students, including but not limited to academic tutoring, personal statement audits, full application audits, and mock interviews. The specific services available to you are described on our website and in any service agreement you execute with us.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any service at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of services.

3. Accounts and Registration

Some features of our website may require you to create an account. You agree to: (a) provide accurate, current, and complete information; (b) maintain and promptly update your account information; (c) keep your password confidential; and (d) notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain inaccurate information or that have been used in violation of these Terms.

4. Payments and Billing

4.1 Pricing

Service fees are as described on our website or in your service agreement at the time of purchase. We reserve the right to change our pricing at any time, with changes taking effect for new purchases or renewals following notice.

4.2 Payment Processing

All payments are processed securely through Stripe, Inc. By providing your payment information, you authorize us to charge your selected payment method for the services you purchase. You agree to Stripe’s Terms of Service (available at stripe.com/legal) in addition to these Terms. We do not store your full payment card information.

4.3 Taxes

You are responsible for all applicable taxes associated with your purchase. We will collect and remit taxes where required by law.

5. The Philippians’ Promise — Cancellations and Service Guarantee

We stand behind our work. If we fall short, we make it right. The Philippians’ Promise outlines exactly what you can expect from us and what we ask of you in return. Please read this section carefully before purchasing any service.

5.1 Client-Initiated Cancellations and Rescheduling

If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, you must provide at least 24 hours advance notice by contacting us at philippianservices@outlook.com or through your account portal, if available.

  • Cancellations or rescheduling requests made with more than 24 hours notice: Your session will be rescheduled at no charge to the next mutually available time.
  • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice: The session fee is forfeited. We invest preparation time in every session and cannot recover that time on short notice. No refund or credit will be issued for late cancellations.
  • No-shows (failure to appear without any notice): The session fee is forfeited in full with no rescheduling option.

5.2 Company-Initiated Cancellations

We take our scheduling commitments seriously. If we cancel or reschedule your session with less than 24 hours notice due to circumstances on our end, you are entitled to a full refund of that session fee, or a rescheduled session at your preference. This is our commitment to you.

5.3 Satisfaction Guarantee — Session Credit

If you are genuinely dissatisfied with the quality of a completed session or audit, please contact us within five (5) business days of the service date. We will review your concern in good faith. Where we determine that the service did not meet a reasonable professional standard, we will issue a session credit redeemable for a repeat of the same service or a comparable service of equal value. Session credits are non-transferable and must be used within six (6) months of issuance.

We do not issue cash refunds for completed sessions or completed audits. The service has been delivered and the time cannot be recovered. Our commitment is to make it right through service — not to unwind a transaction after the fact.

5.4 Multi-Session Packages

Multi-session packages are non-refundable. Unused sessions within a package do not expire and may be rescheduled at any time, subject to mutual availability. We do not issue refunds or cash equivalents for unused package sessions under any circumstances. If your circumstances change and you are unable to use remaining sessions, please contact us — we will work with you to find a solution, which may include transferring sessions to a future application cycle or converting sessions to a different service type of equal value, at our discretion.

5.5 Audit and Written Deliverable Services

Personal Statement Audits, Full Application Audits, and other written deliverable services are non-refundable once the completed audit has been delivered to you. Because these services involve significant advisor time and intellectual work product, no refund or credit is available after delivery regardless of whether you act on the feedback provided.

6. Our Responsibilities and Disclaimers

6.1 No Guarantee of Outcomes

We provide guidance, feedback, and advising based on our expertise and experience. However, we make no guarantee, representation, or warranty that our services will result in acceptance to any medical school, improvement in academic performance, or any other specific outcome. Admission decisions are made solely by educational institutions and are outside our control.

6.2 No Medical or Legal Advice

Our services are limited to academic and application advising. Nothing in our services or on our website constitutes medical, legal, financial, or professional advice of any kind. You should consult qualified professionals for advice in those areas.

6.3 Disclaimer of Warranties

OUR WEBSITE AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT OUR WEBSITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, PHILIPPIANS CONSULTING LLC AND ITS MEMBERS, MANAGERS, OFFICERS, CONTRACTORS, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OUR WEBSITE OR SERVICES, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR OUR SERVICES SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL FEES YOU PAID TO US IN THE THREE (3) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, service descriptions, methodologies, frameworks, and software, is the property of Philippians Consulting LLC or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, or commercially exploit any content from our website without our prior written consent.

You retain ownership of all application materials and personal content you submit to us. By submitting such content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to use it solely for the purpose of providing your requested services.

9. User Conduct

By using our website and services, you agree not to:

  • Provide false or misleading information in connection with your account or services.
  • Use our services to engage in any fraudulent, deceptive, or unlawful activity.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or the accounts of other users.
  • Upload or transmit any content that is defamatory, obscene, or infringes the rights of any third party.
  • Use our website in any way that could damage, disable, or impair our infrastructure.
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit any of our services without our prior written consent.

10. Third-Party Services

Our website and services integrate with third-party platforms including Stripe for payment processing and WordPress for website infrastructure. Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices or content of third-party services.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Philippians Consulting LLC and its members, managers, officers, contractors, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees arising out of or related to: (a) your use of our website or services; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any applicable law or the rights of any third party; or (d) any content or materials you submit to us.

12. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or our services, the parties agree to first attempt to resolve the dispute through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation is unsuccessful, disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration in Norfolk, Virginia, in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. Nothing in this section shall limit our right to seek emergency injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Subject to the arbitration provision above, you consent to exclusive jurisdiction and venue in the state or federal courts located in Norfolk, Virginia.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify you by email or by a prominent notice on our website. Your continued use of our website or services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any service agreement you have executed with us, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding your use of our website and services. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
