Privacy Policy

Philippians Academic Advising is a service of Philippians Consulting LLC. This page explains what we collect, why we have it, and how to make us delete it. If something here is unclear, email admin@philippiansconsulting.com and we will explain it plainly.

Browsing this site

Reading these pages is anonymous.

This site sets no cookies of its own and asks you for nothing. You can read every page here, including our prices, without giving us your name or creating an account.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It is cookieless. It tells us that a page was viewed, roughly where in the world from, and on what kind of browser. It does not follow you between sites and it does not tell us who you are.
Our type is served by Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address when a page loads, the same as it does on most of the web.
Some pages embed a booking calendar, a form, or a checkout that belongs to another company. Those companies may set their own cookies inside their own frame. They are named below.

What we collect

Only what a service needs to happen.

Booking a session. Our calendar runs on Setmore. When you book, Setmore collects your name, email address, phone number if you give one, and the time you chose, and passes it to us.
Paying. Payments run through Stripe. Stripe handles your card details. We never see or store a full card number. We see that a purchase was made, for what, and the contact details attached to it.
Intake forms. Our Cosmos and Guardian Angel intakes run on Microsoft Forms. You tell those forms what you choose to tell them.
Materials you email us. Audits, mock interviews, and tutoring run over email. That is where your personal statement, your activities, your application, your practice scores, and anything else you send us lives.
Interview Immersion recordings. This is the only service that records you, you consent to it at purchase, and the Terms govern it: audio only, the transcript is kept, and the recording is deleted after your final report.

What we do with it

We use it to do the work you paid for.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising. There is no advertising on this site and no tracking pixel behind it.
Your materials are read by the people assigned to your work and by nobody else. As the Terms put it: we do not discuss your score, your application, or your personal details with anyone outside your assigned team.
We use the companies named above to run the site, take payment, and hold our mail. They process your information so that we can deliver your service, and for nothing else on our behalf.
We will hand over information if the law requires it of us. If that ever happens and we are allowed to tell you, we will.

How long we keep it

Twelve months, then it goes.

We keep client materials for twelve months from the date of purchase. That matches the Terms, where unused deliverables expire on the same clock, so one date governs both.
We keep the record of a purchase itself for longer, because tax and accounting rules require it.
Interview Immersion audio is deleted after your final report, whatever the twelve months say.
If you ask us to delete your materials sooner, we will.

Your say over it

Ask, and we will tell you or delete it.

Email admin@philippiansconsulting.com from the address you bought with and you can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, to correct something that is wrong, or to delete what we have. We are a small business and we would rather you just ask us than have to invoke anything.

If you joined the Guardian Angel list, every email we send you has an unsubscribe link, and leaving the list takes one click.

The rest

Small print that is actually small.
